ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT

- Rachel Wyatt was born and raised in Bradford, Yorkshire, England

- She is married to Alan

- She moved to Canada in 1957 and is now a mother of four children...well they are not really children anymore

- She is both an author and a playwright

- Her work consists of three long plays, which have since been published, and a handful of short plays

- Has written stories for Chatelaine

- The first play that she wrote was Geometry, in 1983

- It was performed at Tarragon Theatre in Toronto

- Her second play, which was also performed at Tarragon Theatre, was written in 1984 and was called Chairs and Tables

- From 1991-1994, Rachel Wyatt did a series of short plays at Alberta Theatre Projects

- These plays were titled Getting Out; Confinement; There to Meet Her; Cath's Cradle; and Still Live

- In 1996, Rachel Wyatt got back into writing long plays with the publication of Crackpot

- She has also written numerous pieces of dramatic literature for both BBC and CBC radio.

- Another interesting note is that Mrs. Wyatt is a resident of Alberta and is currently the director of Writing at the Banff Centre for the Arts.
